WE ARE A UNIFORMED ORGANISATION
Scouting exists to actively engage and support young people in personal development, empowering them to positive contribution to society.

2nd Holywood Scout Group was founded in 1916 and have continued without a break.

It is through the loyalty and dedication of leaders perceiving the need for Scouting within our community that the Group has continued to this day.

There are five sections which make up our Group, starting with young people at 4 years of age as Squirrels, they can continue in our Scouting family and develop through the sections for fourteen years to obtain the highest award, The Queen Scout Award.

At the age of fourteen the young people have the opportunity to join the Duke of Edinburgh award scheme, which we run in the Explorer Scout section.

Our Group celebrated its centenary in 2016 and produced a book of 100 years of continued service, this can be obtained for a donation of £5 plus postage, by contacting us through email or from one of our section leaders.
